The 2nd 9 weeks behavior & attendance incentive will be held on Feb. 10 for grades 6-12. This incentive is a field trip to Winter Place.
Eligibility requirements are as follows:
1. The student must be passing all of their classes.
2. The student cannot have any ISS or OSS.
3. The student cannot have any unexcused absences.
The deadline to turn in excuses is January 31.
More information will be coming home soon to any student who meets eligibility requirements.
9th-12th Grade:
Semester exams are scheduled for January 12th and 13th. Your student may be exempt from semester exams if they have 5 or less absences. The classroom teachers will let students know if they are exempt or not. If your student is exempt, they do not have to come to school on those two days.
The testing schedule is as follows:
January 12th-
1st period exam: 7:55-9:25
2nd period exam: 9:32-11:16
Lunch: 11:19-11:49
3rd period exam: 11:55-1:25
4th period exam: 1:30-3:05
January 13th-
5th period exam: 7:55-9:25
6th period exam: 9:32-11:16
Lunch: 11:19-11:49
7th period exam: 11:55-1:25
Advisory: 1:30-3:05
The make up test day will be January 17th. This is a regular school day.
*January 12th and 13th are both regular school days for grades 6-8.

Good luck to the Bobcat boys and girls basketball teams as they play at home today. Boys games tip at 1:30 (JV) and 3:30 (varsity). Girls games tip at 5:30 (JV) and 7:30 (varsity).
ProStart 2 was happy to prepare a veggie tray, fruit tray, BLT turkey and ham & cheese sandwich tray, and chocolate chip cookie tray for a parent/community meeting on Dec. 5, 2022.
ProStart 1 team created gingerbread, marshmallow, and candy cane decorations for the classroom tree and ProStart 2 team was challenged to create gingerbread houses!
The ProStart team baked cookies for REACH, Cookies for Santa, EMS, firefighters, and police officers. Merry Christmas!
After visiting Blue Sky Orchard, the ProStart team created a menu for the tailgate event using the apple cider and apple sauce made from the apples they picked. These chefs made apple cider donuts, caramel apples, and MTO seasonal coffees.
ProStart 2 took a trip to Blue Sky Apple Orchard to pick apples, make apple cider, and applesauce!

The Summers County High School Band will host their Christmas concert tonight at 6:00 in the school auditorium.
SCCHS will be presenting a Christmas Concert on 12-15-22 at 6:00 in the auditorium. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Wednesday, Nov. 30th will be a 2-hour delay for students.
The 9-12 Incentive that was postponed due remote learning has been rescheduled for tomorrow, those students will be leaving at 8:30, please remember to bring permission slips if you haven’t already.
This event is free admission and open to the summers county community. Come join us on Dec. 6th at 7:00!!
Breakfast and Lunch is available to any student who may wish to come to the high school campus to eat. Today's lunch is chicken tortilla soup.
Even though we are remote, meals are being prepared.
Beginning tomorrow November 15, 2022 Summers County Comprehensive High School students, grades 6-12, will be on remote learning through the end of the week. All elementary schools will be on a regular schedule starting tomorrow November 15, 2022.
Mrs. Blevins was honored as SCCHS/NuSkool scholars faculty member of the month. Mrs. Blevins is a very hard worker, a talented veteran Health/PE teacher, and our Athletic Director. Well deserved.
