I have a couple more announcements to provide:
- Spring Pictures are April 27, at 8am. Packet information is forth coming.
- Information for Friday's water park trip was sent home with students today. We have just been informed that the cost to purchase a ticket at the park is $38.
- Complete newsletter for the remainder of April and May will be distributed tomorrow afternoon.
- A generous donation has been made to cover the cost of all students to be provided ice cream till the end of the year!
SCS will hold a community event to discuss the importance of reading. See the attached image for details!
Students and Families,
We hope that you all had an amazing Spring Break filled with happy memories and plenty of rest! Tomorrow morning, we return to school and we have a lot to prepare for. Below, you will find several announcements and pieces of information to be aware of.
1. There is no school for PreK this week, as this week is a week of professional development for PreK staff.
2. Pizza Kit Orders are due to Ms. Collins tomorrow.
3. For our students attending the water park trip, this Friday, more information will be provided tomorrow afternoon, such as rules and things to take note of.
4. Our Carnival is May 6. Please continue to send in requested items till May 5.
5. End of Year assessments for all students will be May 8-11, 2023. Until then, we will be diligently preparing for those assessments. Please ensure your child is at school all day, every day. Every instructional minute is important to ensure each student reaches their fullest potential. Our students have grown so much this year, and we want to help them grow even more! Please help us by helping to ensure your child has perfect attendance these last few weeks of the school year.

This is a reminder that Summers County Schools will start on a two hour delay for students tomorrow Wednesday March 29, 2023 for scheduled professional development. Staff will report on a normal schedule.
This weekend, the JBE faculty spent time examining data and working to make sure that JBE is a Highly Effective School. We are working to ensure that every day is truly a great day to be a JBE tiger!

Tomorrow will be an NTID Day, meaning students do not report to school. Students will need to complete NTID Day 1 Packet of work. This work should be returned to school on Monday. Teachers will NOT be holding live sessions. We will see you all on Monday morning! Let's Go Bobcats!!

Today, JBE celebrated Read Across America Day by providing each student a Dr. Seuss book. These two girls decided to explore their books during bus hall!

Reminder about our Parent Night next week! On Monday, February 27, 2023 from 4pm-6pm, JBE will host a parent/student event.
- Book Fair will kick off this evening
-Students will receive one Dr. Seuss book, and parents and students can participate in a Dr. Seuss activity.
- Students and Parents will be provided KFC for dinner.
- Parents can talk to their child's teacher about their progress.

Summers County Comprehensive High School students are being dismissed approximately 1:30 today. Parent pickup will take place at Lifeline Church in Hinton.
Last night, JBE hosted a Valentines Dance! The students had a great time and looked great!
